Cottage Grove Elementary School serves students in Preschool through fifth grades and is part of SoWashCo Schools. Staff, students and parents at Cottage Grove Elementary School work together to make every student feel valued and respected.

CGE is seeking volunteers for both the roller skating PE unit and for the Science fair. MCA testing is coming up in April.
SoWashCo Schools has donated more than 10,000 pounds of food to the local food shelf, Basic Needs, since the beginning of the school year.
It’s all part of the Food Rescue Program, a partnership between SoWashCo Schools and Basic Needs.

SoWashCo Schools has been awarded an Innovation in Service Learning Grant from the Minnesota Department of Education. With the support of the grant, Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) and Kids Club will expand on their partnership, which began as an opportunity for AVID students to give back to their community and mentor younger students in the Kids Club program.
AVID students and SoWashCo CARES are asking for your help to reach their goal of $5,000 to provide healthy snacks for students in need.
Donations are being accepted through Friday, Dec. 20.
Students in Cindy Gerfast’s fifth-grade class at Cottage Grove Elementary School have joined a nationwide postcard exchange program, where students connect with fifth-graders across the country.
